Who we are
Ranked the top university in Scotland for health professions, and 2nd in the UK, our School has a proven track record of producing work-ready graduates as evidenced by our excellent employment rates. We’re currently experiencing some radical changes in the delivery of healthcare and, as a result, the level of knowledge and skills required by allied health professionals has never been greater.
To meet these challenges, the RGU School of Health Sciences has a multi-professional team, comprising the disciplines of Diagnostic Radiography, Occupational Therapy, Dietetics, Applied Sport and Exercise Science, Public Health and Physiotherapy. We offer a wide range of courses from the Certificate of Higher Education designed for healthcare support workers to awards at honours level, four year undergraduate integrated Masters, Pre- registration and Post -registration Masters and the “UK first” Doctorate in Physiotherapy.
We pride ourselves on producing graduates who make a valuable contribution to the health and wellness of our society by having a positive impact on the lives of others. There is a commitment to provide dynamic and transformational learning, as well as research that makes an important contribution to improving the health and wellbeing of local, national and global communities.
Now, we're looking for an inspirational individual: someone who can lead and manage the School, continue to develop our reputation for academic excellence, increase quality and quantity of our research activity and ensure that our students' experience is second to none.
